THE BIG COLOUR RUN - 5K ALONG THE WIRRAL WAY

On Sunday July 6th, Willaston Physio & Sports Rehab had the honour of being one of the sponsors for the Colour Run organised and raising money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. A 5K run along the Wirral Way. There were paint stations at every 1K..... we got covered in powdery paint.

The weather was glorious before and after the run, with a slight rain shower during (which helped cool us non runners down!). Judith and Pam decided that all us staff at Willaston Physio had to enter the race, luckily we were allowed to run, jog, walk (some crawled) across the finish line! Our very own Steve Devaney (Move, Health & Fitness) came first! Well done Steve!

We started at Hadlow Station and finished at Neston Cricket Club - we arrived to a cheering crowd as we crossed the finish line, a number of us managed to run a bit further to the bar and get a nice glass of wine! The majority gratefully took the bottle of water and goody bags that were being handed out! There was a marquee filled with stalls and a band for our entertainment. There was food (glorious burgers and pulled pork sandwiches). The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves as did the adults (once they'd got their breath back!)

We are looking forward to running next year! The turnout was amazing, thank you to all.
