KIDS BACK PAIN......... A MUST READ!

10-25% of children complain of back pain in their teens. Most children start with healthy backs and natural movement Bad posture can cause damage to growing spines. Discomfort can affect concentration and their school and homework.

WHAT DO WE RECOMMEND?
Wear a backpack on 2 shoulders to spread the weight evenly with straps tightened so it is close fitting. If a bag only has one strap - make sure it is worn across the body.
Encourage your child to sit in the right position. 'One size fits all' school furniture is not always ideal but children can sit well by moving their chair close to the desk, sitting back in their seat and upright.
Getting up and exercising is vital to your childs back care, as long periods of inactivity like sitting at the computer are also causes for concern.
